Thunder on the Mountain 

Show N Shine

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta proudly hosts the Thunder on the Mountain Show N Shine, an annual gathering that celebrates community, car culture, and all things on wheels. From classic cars and motorcycles to trucks, custom builds, and any rad ride that deserves to be shown off, this event brings together enthusiasts and community members for a day that is truly a whole vibe.

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Mount Shasta, Thunder on the Mountain is more than just a car show. It is a community celebration where people connect, share their passion for unique rides, and support a great cause. Each year the event features hundreds of vehicles and thousands of attendees, creating an incredible atmosphere for car lovers and the community alike.

This event also serves as an important fundraiser supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta and the youth we serve throughout Siskiyou County.

The event is free for the public to attend, and just $30 per vehicle for those who want to show their ride.

Event Details: 

Date: Saturday, September 5th 
Location: Shastice Park, Mount Shasta, CA
Time:
9:00 AM – Show participant check-in & registration begins (open to the public)

           Early Birds Welcome – Gates open before 9:00 AM

​           11:00 AM – Full festivities kick off! Live music, family activities, and all vendor booths officially open

What to Expect:

  • Show & Shine featuring classic and custom vehicles 

  • Multiple award categories including Best of Show, Most Original, Best Custom, Best Pick-Up, Best New Car (1990+), Best  Motorcycle and more

  • Live music throughout the day

  • Delicious food and local beverages

  • Beer garden

  • Raffles, giveaways, and family-friendly games and activities

What started as a simple goal to bring together the car and motorcycle community with the Mount Shasta community has quickly grown into something bigger. In just two years, Thunder on the Mountain has welcomed hundreds of vehicles, thousands of attendees, and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta and the youth we serve throughout Siskiyou County.

Registration Information:


We welcome all types of vehicles—classic, vintage, muscle, new, unique, exciting, motorcycles, and more. If it turns heads, it belongs at Thunder on the Mountain.

Registration for the 2026 Thunder on the Mountain Show N Shine is not open yet, but it will be coming soon. Be sure to check back here for updates.

We will also announce when registration officially opens on our social media pages, so make sure you are following along so you do not miss it.

Bonus for Early Birds:
The first 50 participants to register will receive an exclusive tote bag filled with event gifts and promotional items.

 

Awards & Recognition

We’re excited to honor the standout vehicles of the day with custom awards, presented by local business sponsors!

Award Categories Include:

  • Best in Show 

  • Most Original (Stock)

  • Best Custom

  • Best 4x4

  • Best New Car (1990+)

  • Best Paint

  • Best Truck

  • Best Hot Rod

  • Best Motorcycle

In addition to these categories, multiple business sponsors will be selecting their favorites and personally presenting awards to the winners.

Every vehicle has a chance to shine—whether it’s vintage, bold, custom-built, or just plain cool.

 

Vendor  Information:

We are currently accepting a limited number of vendors in the following categories:

  • Food Vendors (must have appropriate permits)

  • Family-Friendly Activity Vendors (interactive booths for kids)
     

Please note: Not all applicants will be accepted. If your booth is a good fit, we will contact you directly with confirmation and next steps. Do not submit payment unless requested.

Vendor Booth Pricing

Early Bird Pricing (apply before August 1, 2025):

  • Food Vendor – $125 (Not Open Yet)

  • Verified Nonprofit – Free

  • Kids Activity Booth (e.g. face painting, arts & crafts, etc.) – Free

After August 1, 2025:

  • Food Vendor – $150

  • Kids Activity Booth – Free​​

You will only be asked to submit payment if your application is accepted

If you are offering a free kids activity such as face painting, balloon animals, games, or crafts, there is no booth fee—we appreciate your contribution to making this a family-friendly event!
