**Cubbies (ages 3-6) & Intermediate Level Riders Only! **

We're excited to offer this program designed especially for Cubbies (ages 3-6) and intermediate riders to build confidence and foundational skills. Over the course of four lessons, on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October, riders will learn foundational mountain biking skills through hands-on instruction, trail rides, and games that make learning fun. Participants will be coached by the amazing team from Shasta Gravity Adventures & Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta, featuring professional BICP-certified instructors who keep things safe, supportive, and exciting for every rider.

This program is led by the incredible team from Shasta Gravity Adventures, featuring professional BICP-certified coaches who specialize in creating fun, skill-appropriate learning experiences for every rider.

Cubbies Level Program (ages 3-6) - To participate:

Riders must be riding on their own without assistance (no training wheels or balance bikes).

Participants do not have much experience on dirt trails and do not ride frequently.  They lack confidence on uneven terrain and do not have good/proper braking skills to slow down.

Riders will progress from the most basic techniques on the bike such as balance, stance, bike body separation, and braking to implementing these skills on easy tails on the Gateway Trail System.

Intermediate Level Program - To participate:

Intermediate Riders should confidently navigate Green Circle and Blue Square trails, demonstrating control on singletrack, berms, and moderate obstacles. They have good braking, cornering, and balance skills and can ride off-road for at least 30 minutes without assistance.  Any participants in the recent Intermediate Program are welcome!  Our goal is to continue building confidence and skills and get the rider ready for Advance Level Programs in the future.

Intermediate Gateway Trail Examples (Green Circles and Blue Squares):

- Ten Gallon Trail System

- Upper and Lower Bear Springs

- Muir's Ascension

- Foundation
