Front Desk / Administrative Assistant

Primary Function:
As the front desk staff, you are charged with a huge responsibility. You are the first point of contact for anyone who is entering the Club. When you are the front desk staff, it is your responsibility to greet and assist guests with questions regarding the Boys & Girls Club services. It is important to greet every member, parent, volunteer or guest that enters our doors with the kindness and enthusiasm that is congruent with the Boys & Girls Club culture, sharing with them the ultimate Club experience.

Position Responsibilities:

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Safety first! As the front desk staff, you are responsible for anyone entering and exiting the building.

Greet every person in a professional manner as they enter or exit the building and assist with their needs.

Answers telephones, providing general information, referring callers to other staff or taking messages as necessary.

Maintain cleanliness on the desk and in the office area. (i.e., Maintain the file cabinet, the printer, and other office supplies.)

Supervise youth as needed.

Communicate with other staff as appropriate.

May perform regular secretarial duties such as preparing correspondence and reports as requested by a supervisor and composes draft letters following established formats. Proofreads all materials for accuracy prior to supervisory review and signature.

May perform other related secretarial or administrative duties as requested.​

This position is a part-time position, with a maximum of 20 hours per week, and hourly wage is based upon qualifications and experience. Professional development opportunities and additional hours are available contingent upon funding and approval.
